Recently, Houston Rockets star Tracy McGrady announced he will swap his No. 1 jersey number to No. 3. That got me thinking about jersey number changes that have taken place in the NBA through the years. Ron Artest, the master of bizarre number switching, will wear No. 37 next season for his new team, the Los Angeles Lakers. The former Defensive Player of the Year chose to don such an odd number to pay tribute to Michael Jackson's popular "Thriller" album which topped the music charts for an impressive 37 consecutive weeks.
