Glenn Powell added 14 points, while Chris Davis and Keith McDougald added 11 apiece for the Dolphins (1-2). The Bulldogs (0-2) went up 9-6 on Raijon Kelly's jumper with 14:44 left in the opening half. The Dolphins outshot the Bulldogs 50 percent (27 of 54) to 38.9 percent (21 of 54) from the field. Jeffrey Merritt was the only player in double figures for Samford, scoring 22 points.
