Jacksonville makes the first big-time trade on draft day to move up and give second-year quarterback Blaine Gabbert some much needed help and pick Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon.   When OSU Cowboy quarterback Brandon Weeden met with Browns officials earlier in the week, all he could talk about was Blackmon’s work ethic and how he was such a great kid. His junior year, Blackmon shred opponents to the tune of 121 catches, 1,522 yards and 18 touchdowns. This was all the Jags needed to hear to be scared enough that the Rams were going to push the button and arm their young QB with a stud wide receiver, and thus sent their seventh and 101st overall picks to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in order to take Blackmon.   Gabbert didn’t show the nation he could do much last year, but adding this piece gives him some much needed help and hopefully Blackmon provides the go to target he desperately needs.   This also shows Tampa found out that LSU corner Morris Claiborne was not going to ...

With the 2012 NFL Draft just underway, the Jacksonville Jaguars traded up to take the No. 5 pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. St. Louis Rams Trade Down, Land Brockers

The Rams ended up trading the 6th pick to the Cowboys for their 45th pick.  This means that the Rams now have three second round picks.  The Rams missed out on Justin Blackmon, Michael Floyd,  and Fletcher Cox, enraging many Rams fans.  The Rams ended up picking Michael Brockers, a 6'5 322 lb Defensive Tackle from LSU.  Like most fans, my initial reaction was "who?...

Rams Wanted WR A.J. Jenkins In The Second-Round

One of the reasons the Rams were not overly flustered about missing out on wide receivers Justin Blackmon of Oklahoma State and Michael Floyd of Notre Dame is they felt they have very good wideout options at the top of the second round according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. But one of the most-coveted of those options, A.J. Jenkins of the University of Illinois,...

Through the first seven picks, only Indianapolis kept its original draft spot. The Vikings swapped their No. 3 choice for the Browns...

What?!...The experts disagree with the arm chair GM's

Many Rams fans had their heart set on wide receiver Justin Blackmon. Many were willing to settle for the second-rated WR on the board, Michael Floyd. When the Rams drafted neither, many fans freaked out. Perhaps this was all too familiar to the ways of one Billy Devaney. Well this is a different regime. Rams coach Jeff Fisher and general manager Les Snead really wanted running...

Details Of Jaguars/Buccaneers Trade

It shouldn't come as a complete surprise that the Jaguars have traded up considering Gene Smith's history as general manager of the Jaguars as just last year he traded up from 16 to 10 to acquire quarterback Blaine Gabbert and he's done it again this year trading up from the seventh selection to pick five. However, many reports from ESPN are that Shahid Khan is the one...
