This is the story I never ever thought I'd be writing about. Jared Sullinger is becoming one of my favorite players on the Celtics. He seems so even tempered and just seems like a great kid. He was raised right by a father who instilled in him the right values. I'm hoping that this is just a misunderstanding of some kind, but here's the story as reported by ABC6.
Boston Celtics forward Jarad Sullinger has been arrested for a domestic violence incident over the weekend.
Police say they were called to his girlfriend's home early in the evening Saturday. She alleged that he assaulted her but he had left the scene before police arrived.
On Tuesday morning shortly after 6 a.m. the Celtic's star turned himself in to Waltham Police.
Sullinger faces charges of assault and battery, malicious destruction of property, and witness intimidation.
He will be arraigned Tuesday morning in Waltham District Court.
I'm sure there will be a lot more to come on this and we'll report updates as they become available. On September 1 his girlfriend posted very happy looking photos of the two together. I'm not sure what happened, but I want to here Sully's side of and the details before passing any judgement. But, either way, it's not a good way to start a season.
