Chicago Bears starting quarterback Jay Cutler has now passed all his concussion test, and has been cleared to start Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, according to ESPN Chicago. Cutler underwent an evaluation Saturday by an independent neurologist and was cleared to go. Bears coach Lovie Smith released a statement on the situation. “He has progressed as we wanted him to do,” he said after the team’s practice. “As I’ve said, it’s looking good. One more step to get him evaluated by an independent neurologist. Jay Cutler is getting better, was able to do more than he did yesterday.” Cutler was injured on Nov. 11 during a game against the Houston Texans, where he was knocked out, which eventually led to his concussion. Chicago Bears back on track

The Chicago Bears got back on track Sunday with a 28 – 10 win over the Vikings. After losing two weeks in a row, all units of the Bears showed solid coordination and smooth execution. Cutler’s return clearly had a positive impact. The offensive line only gave up one sack and was well synchronized on the big plays. Cutler connected with Marshall early, but both Bush and Bennett...

Jay Cutler Taunting After A Run Is His Catty Thing Of The Week

Jay Cutler scrambled out of bounds for a first down against the Vikings then proceeded to flip the ball at the chest at cornerback A.J. Jefferson, earning Cutler a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. It’s the first ****** Cutler act in two weeks, only because he missed last week’s loss to the 49ers. To make up for lost time, expect him to rebuff a coach and make a dismissive...

Cutler recovered from concussion

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is starting Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings after missing a game because of a concussion. Cutler was limited in practice this week. He left the game against Houston two weeks ago after a helmet-to-helmet hit by the Texans' Tim Dobbins and did not make the trip to San Francisco, where the Bears were blown out on Monday. Vikings receiver Percy...

Jay Cutler Is Cleared To Play In Week 12

Time to dust myself off Juan… Jay Cutler has passed all his concussion tests and looks probable to start this week against the Vikings.  Cutler: “Feel good. Feel good,” Cutler said earlier this week. “About as normal as can be. We’re going through the process. I met with [the doctors] on Monday morning. Got a few more hoops to jump through, so we’ll see how it goes this...

Jay Cutler’s status a mystery as he goes to see neurologist

Will Jay Cutler play on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings? That question is tough to answer right now but it should be answered tomorrow. Despite Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith’s comments over the past two weeks that Cutler was on track or “looking good” it is worth nothing that Cutler has not been cleared to play. Cutler also has not suggested that he would play or...

Jay Cutler and the unholy power of "The Narrative"

"It doesn't mean anything, it's just something." Those were the actual words NFL Countdown's Tom Jackson used to describe his displeasure with Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler walking into Soldier Field Sunday morning without appearing to talk to someone within ESPN's camera shot.  Jay Cutler has been criticized for a galaxy's worth of things...

Jay Cutler Is Everything the Bears Are Looking for in a Quarterback, Which Doesn’t Need to Be Saying Much

It’s easy to dislike Jay Cutler. He, the Chicago quarterback of perpetual grumpiness (although Smokin’ Jay Cutler was magical), completely great or completely terrible performances, and just enough talent and underachieving to make someone unhappy, has plenty of critics. This year, he’s been at it again. He feuded with coaches on the sideline. He called out teammates (also...

Bears 28, Vikings 10

CHICAGO -- On the Bears' first two offensive plays against Minnesota on Sunday, quarterback Jay Cutler and running back Matt Forte botched a handoff for a lost fumble, and Cutler tripped over a teammate and sacked himself for a five-yard loss. But the Vikings couldn't do much with the opportunities, and Cutler then unleashed an effective short passing game, the even more...
