I wish I hadn’t stumbled on this Cubs blog I didn’t know existed. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t have seen this garbage. Debating Big Z’s aceliness has always been a topic of discussion A topic of discussion of dumbasses. this year in particular, what with the mondo ass suckage and all. Except that Carlos’ FIP, xFIP and ERA are the best they’ve been since the 2005 season. I’m using Zambrano’s up to date ERA after 8 shutout innings tonight. But yeah, if you ignore those facts he’s really sucked ass this year. A few thoughts from me I can’t wait. after watching these past six months - in particular, this game. “Aces” don’t do this crap EVERY game. This was written on September 15th. In 5 innings he allowed 5 earned runs. Just for the record, in only 2 other starts has Zambrano allowed 5 or more runs. They also generally have more than eight wins in September. People also generally have more knowledge about how wins are achieved, but not at this lovely Cubs blog. And they can usually make it through more than 5 innings more often than not. Zambrano made his 27th start tonight. In at least 20 of them he threw more than 5 innings. This is information that is free of charge and easy to find. They also tend not to be shown up by Aaron Heilman, Kevin Gregg, Esmailin Caridad and Jeff Samardzija. Interesting, Jen is suggesting that pitchers not good enough to be a starter are showing up a starter. But I’ll give him this - bringing in nearly $19 mil? Now THAT is the stuff of an “ace”. Jen isn’t the brightest Cubs fan around, but I’ll give her this - saying stupid **** over and over? Now THAT is intelligent. (So much so that I can’t see how, assuming we got him to approve a trade this winter, the deal would favor the Cubs.) That’s because you’re not very smart and you’re apparently unaware that on the interweb thing here, people can check to see how accurate you are. And you, Jen, are either full of **** or stupid or maybe even both. Let’s go with all 3. Oh yeah, that acehole just threw a complete game, 2-hit shutout.
