Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports that New York Jets quarterback, Mark Sanchez, has been placed on the injured reserve designated for return list.Sanchez, who has a labral tear in his throwing shoulder, will be able to return in eight weeks.  Sanchez is taking the non-surgical approach to repairing his injured shoulder.  This is a conservative approach and surgery is not ruled out completely. The IR-DFR list can only be used one time per season.  This is a curious move by the Jets to use the designation on a non-starter.  However, Jets general manager, John Idzik, thinks differently telling reporters in a conference call on Saturday, “He’s a quarterback.  He’s [a] very important player to our team.  This designation is tailor-made for someone like this.”How important Sanchez is to the Jets remains a mystery.  Sanchez is so important to the Jets that head coach, Rex Ryan, dumped Sanchez in a meaningless preseason game behind a rag tag group of fourth teamers.  That decision by head coach Ryan has Sanchez in this situation now.Sanchez claims he still wants to be with the Jets.  However, the question is, do the Jets want to be with Mark Sanchez.  You can follow me on Twitter @TheSoftParade69Talk football talk cigars talk anything, I know a little about a lot.  Follow @TheNFLInjuryRpt Looking for fantasy football advice?
