Bilal Powell (concussion) and Joe McKnight (ankle) both made the trip with the Jets to St. Louis, the team announced this afternoon. The only Jets player on the active roster left behind was LB Marcus Dowtin, who was not injured. If Powell and McKnight can both play, which seems likely, it will give the Jets a huge boost in the backfield after working with limited options over the last two weeks. Powell sustained the concussion last week against the Seahawks -- a game McKnight sat out to rest the lingering ankle injury. Source: Newark Star Ledger Attached Thumbnails

Game Recap: JETS 27 - RAMS 13

Jets keep postseason chances alive with win in St. Louis. After coming off their Bye week and losing big in Seattle, the Jets season seemed to been in a tailspin.  With two blowout losses in three weeks (MIA, BYE, SEA) and an article released that supposedly shed some light on a divided locker room, the Jets found an escape at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis."Our guys have...

New York Jets Playoff Pipe Dream – Week 11 Hail Mary Edition

You are a sick person aren’t you? Sure, you have appropriately ripped your New York Jets all week to anybody who would listen. Sure, you swear you won’t waste time watching another game. But we all know that you will. You will be glued to your TV at 1 PM this Sunday, wondering in an anxious horror if your football team can truly get any worse…or if maybe, just maybe they could...

Tim Tebow vs. Ryan Leaf: Who Is The Better Quarterback?

With the news coming out of New York this week regarding Tim Tebow and how his own teammates feel about him got me thinking about another quarterback that never amounted to anything.Ryan Leaf was a quarterback drafted in 1998 that many believed would be the next great one.  He was drafted second overall behind Peyton Manning in that draft.  It was a long debate on which QB should...

New York Jets: Tim Tebow Will Start At Quarterback By Week 14

It seems like it was several years ago that John Elway stated that Tim Tebow has earned the right to be the starting quarterback heading into training camp this 2012 football season for the Denver Broncos.Actually, Elway made this comment just this January. Elway had plans to work with Tebow in the offseason to improve his throwing mechanics. That all changed when Jim Irsay...

Champ Bailey Defends Tim Tebow After Criticism From Jets, Says ‘It’s Not Easy Being Him’

Tim Tebow may not have the backing of his teammates in New York, but it certainly sounds like he has some support in Denver. Tebow, who was ripped this week by several Jets teammates in the New York Daily News, continues to get respect from players he worked alongside in Denver. “He was one of my all-time favorite teammates,” cornerback Champ Bailey told the Denver Post. “One...

Bart Scott leads ‘media mutiny’ following Jets win

After a tumultuous week filled with antonymous quotes and an alleged in-house divide, the Jets answered the bell in St. Louis, snapping a three-game losing streak with a 27-13 victory over the Rams. But it wasn't enough for Bart Scott, who failed to let Gang Green escape the Gateway City without an extra dash of drama. Following the Jets win, the always outspoken linebacker...

Darren Sharper rips Matt Slausen for criticizing Tim Tebow

New York Jets offensive lineman Matt Slausen was the only Jets’ player to openly criticize quarterback Tim Tebow. NFL Network analyst Darren Sharper doesn’t believe Slausen has the right to criticize Tebow when he’s not a great player himself. “I talked to one of the offensive lineman for the Jets, and they said throughout this season, Matt Slauson has graded out the worst...

Rex Ryan Defends Jets Beleaguered Offensive Coordinator Tony Sparano

Despite the Jets offense being ranked 30th in the NFL, coach Rex Ryan and offensive coordinator Tony Sparano both said they see signs of improvement. The Jets failed to score an offensive touchdown in Seattle last week and have scored six touchdowns total in seven of their nine games. Even with those struggles, Ryan said he is happy with the job Sparano has done in his first season...

Kerley Active For Jets

New York wideout Jeremy Kerley will be uniform Sunday against the Rams. He had been listed as questionable with heel and hamstring injuries.Fantasy Spin:Kerley sat out practice on Friday but it looks like he'll be a full go Sunday in St. Louis. Fantasy owners have probably learned by now to temper their expectations with Mark Sanchez under center. But just in case it hasn'...

Week 11 Preview – St. Louis Rams vs. New York Jets

The Rams must win this game against the New York Jets at home. On the road, I could live with a loss, but at home, we must win. The “must” part is not arising from a fantasy that we are a far superior team to the Jets. There are no teams in this league that we outclass by a large margin. Instead, the “must” part of the win comes from how well this games sets up for...

Jets leaning on experience of 2009 rally for confidence

In Rex Ryan's first season as the New York Jets' head coach, Gang Green overcame two three-game losing streaks and won five of their last six games to make the playoffs and ride an improbable road win streak to the AFC Championship game. Ryan was asked Friday if this year's team, which sits at 3-6, leans on memories of that season for inspiration. "I think from a...

Jets beat Rams 27-13, as they snap their four game losing streak

The New York Jets (4-6) beat the St. Louis Rams (3-6-1) 27-13, today at the Edward Jones Dome from St. Louis, MO. Good news Jets fans!
