Not even through his first collegiate season, Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel is already cementing his position in Aggies folklore. After nine games he has led the Aggies to a 7-2 record, losing only to Florida and LSU by a combined eight points. The guy is only 19-years-old and is making waves in A&M’s first season in the SEC on and off the field.
More impressive than his statistics (2527 yards, 16 TDs through 9 games) is his ability to perform off the field. Every guy in College Station wants to be him. Every girl within 200 miles of College Station wants him. His Scooby Doo costume became an instant Halloween classic after photos surfaced of his escapades.
We might be jumping the gun here, but it looks like Manziel is well on his way to becoming the next Rob Gronkowski. We’ll be watching Manziel’s every move over the next three seasons at A&M. If he keeps up his strong play and eventually gets drafted, Gronk better watch his back. Johnny Football is coming for his poon prowess crown.
