As if there was any doubt Jimmie Johnson is an all-star. Johnson drove the No. 48 Chevrolet to first place at the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race on Saturday night. The five-time Cup champion claimed his third all-star race and the $1 million prize. Brad Keselowski finished second, followed by Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Johnson, Kenseth, Keselowski and Earnhardt Jr. won the events four segments, which earned them the top-four positions heading into mandatory pit stops before the final 10-lap dash. Carl Edwards, who won last year, had his hopes of repeating quashed early. He suffered a blown engine on Lap 25 and was done for the night. A blown engine also ended the race for points leader Greg Biffle, who exited his the No. 16 car after it filled with smoke on Lap 69. Johnson took Segment 1, grabbing the lead on Lap 15. He was followed by Kyle Busch, Ryan Newman, Denny Hamlin and Biffle. Kenseth, the Daytona 500 winner, passed Hamlin on Lap 37 and claimed Segment 2. Keselowski edged Kasey Kahne for Segment 3. NASCAR officials had to go to the TV replay to determine the winner. Earnhardt Jr. was third, followed by AJ Allmendinger and Marcos Ambrose. Earnhardt ran away with Segment 4. Ambrose was second followed by Allmendinger, Kahne and Jeff Gordon. Earnhardt Jr. and Allmendinger won their spots in the field by finishing 1-2 in the Showdown, raced prior to the all-star event earlier in the day. Junior led the entire 40 laps of the Showdown. Meanwhile, Bobby Labonte made the field by winning the fan vote. The top five drivers receiving votes -- in alphabetical order -- were Allmendinger, Earnhardt Jr., Labonte, Joey Logano and Martin Truex, Jr.
