As an NFL cornerback, confidence is part of the game, but NFL draft prospect Johnthan Banks may be getting ahead of himself. The Mississippi State product says he can cover the NFL’s best wide receiver, Calvin Johnson. Banks was considered a first-round prospect until he ran a 4.61 40-yard dash at the NFL scouting combine. “I think I can play against anybody. I can own anybody,” Banks told “I think I can cover Megatron.” Banks may need to improve his speed if he hopes to take down Johnson. The Lions wide receiver ran a 4.35 40-yard dash coming out of Georgia Tech in 2007. Banks is known for his physical play on the outside, but Johnson is a mismatch for any defensive back.
