Kent State will be making its first trip to the College World Series and former Golden Flashes quarterback Josh Cribbs is determined to make sure the team has fans in attendance to watch it play. The Cleveland Browns wide receiver has chartered a bus to take fans all the way to Omaha for the tournament. Cribbs is one of the school’s most famous and proud alums and he’s proving it with this gesture. Cribbs had the following to say about his school’s team: “I’m going to do my part in making sure those guys have a fan base out there cheering for them. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.” Kent State will play Arkansas on Saturday, and a message on teamcribbs.com says packages are available for $150 per person and include a hotel room for Friday night, drinks and a snack on the bus. It isn’t clear if Cribbs himself will be in attendance. But the receiver has said that even fans of KSU’s rival Akron have been tweeting him congratulating him on the team’s big 3-2 win ...
