J.R. Smith’s father is speaking out telling critics to back off of his son for hitting the clubs after a loss to the Boston Celtics, and most recently, Tuesday night with Rihanna after the 105-79 win over the Pacers. According to the NY Post: Earl Smith said he is surprised at the negative reaction. “My thing is, those people need to get off the computer and let professional athletes be professional athletes,’’ Earl said. “If they want to go out on a Saturday night, who gives a damn? Who cares? How come you don’t hear about LeBron [James] after he loses? You don’t think LeBron went out the other night [in Miami]? Leave the professional athletes alone. They know what they’re doing.

Playing basketball and then clubbing all night, can lead to flu-like symptoms.  You have to give your body a chance to rest. Hopefully, JR is feeling better by game time.
