According to KHOU.com, Oklahoma City Thunder Center, Kendrick Perkins,  and his brother in law, posted $1000 bail Thursday morning on a misdemeanor assault charge.  The incident reportedly happened in July outside Nox nightclub in Houston.  The case was initially dismissed, but Perkins was charged when it was re-filed. Miketta Cotton told police she and her brother were leaving the club when their car and another vehicle “backed into each other.” Cotton said she got out to talk with the male driver. She said a female passenger suddenly jumped out of the car, pulled her hair back and began taking off her jewelry like she was ready to fight. Cotton said she calmed the woman down, but then Alpough got out of the car and pushed her stating, “That’s my cousin!” When Ja’Keenan Cotton saw his sister being pushed, he got out of the car to check on her. He told police Perkins, a passenger in the other car, punched him in the head, causing him to fall to the ground. Cotton said Perkins then punched her in the face with a closed fist, causing her to fall down. Catherine McGrue, who was in the car with the Cottons, said Alpough struck her in the throat with his elbow, knocking her unconscious. All three victims say a group of people then kicked them repeatedly while they were lying on the ground. Ja’Keenan Cotton recognized Perkins and Alpough, according to court documents. At least one witness backed up their story It will be interesting to see how this story develops.
