Kevin Faulk wants to come back to Patriots
Let me start by saying the above photo is a fan-made photoshop mock up of a red Pats alternate. I’ve always thought it looked pretty cool.
Mary Paoletti of CSNNE reports today that Kevin Faulk is training with a return to the Patriots in mind. Doesn’t mean the Patriots want him back, but he’s now two full years removed from his ACL surgery which is when most guys are finally back to 100% and with such a young backfield it makes some sense that Faulk could fit in. He is 35, but there’s no question his leadership would be a positive.
Let’s put it this way, unless he’s totally lost his speed I’ll take Kevin Faulk back on the Pats in any capacity. Make him an offensive assistant for all I care, but the guy is a Patriots legend and one of the final holdovers from the dynasty days. He’ll make the 2012 Patriots better in one way or another.

New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker made an appearance on NFL Total Access on the NFL Network (via the Boston Herald) and was asked if he’s unhappy that the franchise tag was placed on him.
“It’s a lot of money (laughing) How can you ever be upset about that? It’s more than half of what my last contract was over five years. So one year, $9.5 (million) – it’s...
Running back Eric Kettani will be onsite at Gillette Stadium next week when the Patriots begin their organized offseason workouts, though he is still waiting to hear from the Navy about his appeal. The lieutenant junior grade served two years of active duty before joining the Patriots during their 2011 training camp. He started the year on the practice squad before the Navy recalled...
According to Tom Curran of CSNNE.com, both the New England Patriots and wide receiver Wes Welker haven’t made any progress towards getting a long-term deal worked out.
The Patriots begin their offseason workouts on Monday and since Welker hasn’t signed his franchise tender, he won’t be able to participate.
Welker believes he should be paid like a premiere receiver after leading...
Linebacker Gary Guyton's down year in 2011 turned out to be the end of his four-season tenure with the Patriots. Guyton agreed to a one-year deal with the Dolphins on Friday, according to a source. After the season, Guyton and the Patriots had a mutual decision to part ways. Guyton, who went undrafted in 2008, emerged as a quality role player who performed well as a starter,...
((youtube))We debated the merits of posting this incredibly stupid, yet telling video from New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski's appearance at the University of Rhode Island. The comment came when "Gronk" was asked to play a game of "Murder, make love or Kill". ((***Note***--we had no idea that (a) such a game existed and (b) that it would be asked during...
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the New England Patriots are re-signing center Dan Koppen.
Albert Breer of the NFL Network has confirmed that Koppen and the Patriots have agreed to a two-year deal.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will be very happy to know Koppen will be back, since he’s one of his best friends on the team.
According to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network, New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker, will likely sign his franchise tender and play out this season under the tag.
Welker will make just over $9 million for the 2012 season under the franchise tag, which is a lot more than he’s made during any year of his career so far.

All he had to do was ask, just inquire and maybe he wouldn’t be in this mess. Sean Payton is a good friend of Bill Belichick. In the 2010 preseason, they had their teams practice for a week together and share a lot of coaching notes.
What didn’t get shared were Belichick's “Goodell notes,” and that was a big mistake.
In 2007, Bill Belichick was caught on what is...
With the 27th pick in the 2012 Cincy Jungle Mock Draft, Anthony Knox selected for the New England Patriots, who earned their pick by giving their first-round pick in 2011 draft to the Saints so they could select running back Mark Ingram in the first round.
