Beyond The Buzzer:
Four months after retiring from the NBA, Keyon Dooling is considering a return to the game. The 12-year veteran guard began increasing his workout routine on Tuesday should he receive a call from the Boston Celtics.
“I’m definitely considering,” Dooling told CSNNE.com Tuesday evening. “I’ve upped my exercise starting today and if Doc (Rivers) gives me the word I will be ready.”

A torn ACL is a death sentence to any athlete. When a star in the league suffers that gruesome injury, all you can do is feel for them. It is a helpless feeling being that player, especially when they believe it is only a minor injury. That was the case for Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, after he thought he had only hyperextended his knee during Boston’s double overtime loss...
My exact face when I found out Rajon Rondo was out for the season.
It is time my friends, time to say good-bye to this current Celtics group, and start to realize that the quest for 18 this season is over. Possibly, even out for a while.
After Rajon Rondo tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament, I realized, we just aren't that good, and heck, we should have realized that after...

Video: Boston bummer
Boston has always had a history of having at least one future hall-of-fame player on their roster. Now that Pierce and Garnett are at the end of their NBA career, the Celtics as a franchise are looking to remain relevant. The loss of Rajon Rondo makes it that much more difficult to see who on the roster will stand-up and say "I am a Celtic."
The Adidas “Real Deal” is making a return. Celtics fans remember these kicks as the sneaker of choice for Antoine Walker during the late 1990′s. Avery Bradley is now the latest Boston Celtic to rock them.
These were part of the Adidas “equipment” line and you can see a pic of the original colorways/pairs in the gallery below. The retro edition is currently available in...
BOSTON — Kevin Garnett was trying to offer consolation. He wanted to calm everyone in the wake of the devastating news that Rajon Rondo would miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his right knee, and reassure anyone who would listen that the Celtics are not about to panic.
In doing so, however, he offered up imagery from one of the darkest eras of Celtics basketball. The...
Boston Celtics star point guard Rajon Rondo has a torn ACL in his right knee and will miss the remainder of the season. The Celtics announced Rondo’s injury during Sunday’s 100-98 double-overtime victory against the Miami Heat, stating that the four-time All-Star will undergo surgery. The initial report on Rondo was a hyperextended knee, but tests showed the ACL tear, an injury...
The Celtics scored one of their biggest wins of the season on Sunday, a double-overtime victory over the Miami Heat, but all talk in Boston since then has been about an even bigger loss.
All-Star point guard Rajon Rondo sought medical attention prior to Sunday’s game and was diagnosed with a torn ACL, bringing his season to an end. Now head coach Doc Rivers is faced with a tough...
From the moment the Celtics nation got the terrible news on Rondo there has formed two schools of thought regarding the next step that we should take. To hastily summarize, it's "blow it up" vs. "hold on tight". I've written a post explaining why it wouldn't make sense to blow it up, and that has received some fair and valid criticism (how would staying...
The Celtics received the devastating news yesterday that point guard Rajon Rondo will be out for the rest of the season after suffering a torn ACL in the double-overtime loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night.
How the news was disseminated yesterday was interesting to follow, as social media reports early in the afternoon suggested it could be a a torn ACL, and Sean Grande on...

Come on. Seriously, come on.
What the hell? It didn’t even look like anything when it happened. Suddenly there were whispers on Twitter of a possible serious Rondo knee injury. The MRI had been performed, but the results couldn’t be confirmed.
What happened next made the whole thing seem even more surreal than it already was. For the first time in a long time for the sports world...
