Nets coach Jason Kidd says veteran point guard Deron Williams will play Wednesday night against the Charlotte Bobcats. Williams has missed the past two games with a sprained ankle. Kidd says ''it will be good to get him going.'' The Nets won't go straight to Williams, but Kidd says they'll ''let him get his energy back and let him get up and down the court a bit first. Once he gets going, we want him to be aggressive and set the tone.'' Brook Lopez and Andrei Kirilenko remain out for the Nets. The Nets enter the game with a 3-7 record. Charlotte coach Steve Clifford says center Al Jefferson remains out with an ankle injury, but hopes to get him back for Friday night against Phoenix.

NBA scout on Jason Kidd: He doesn't do anything

NBA Scout: “Jason Kidd doesn’t do anything” The Brooklyn Nets are off to a terrible start this season under first year coach, Jason Kidd. But that hardly tells the story as fellow NBA observers are noticing the lack of coaching done by Kidd. It probably wasn’t a great idea by general manager Billy King to bring in a rookie head coach with zero experience to operate a veteran...

Jason Kidd seems way in over his head

After Brooklyn’s 108-98 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers last night, Nets coach Jason Kidd had a look on his face of complete and utter disgrace and confusion all in one. It was a mixture of sorrow, disappointment, perplexity, and anxiety all at once. After a disappointing beginning to the season starting out 3-7, the superstar lineup of the Brooklyn Nets looks like it’s shaping...

Nets coach Jason Kidd takes blame for loss to Blazers

For someone who never appears flustered in public, who speaks with a knowing smile, Jason Kidd looked uncharacteristically adrift on Monday night following the Nets’ disappointing 108-98 loss to the surging Portland Trail Blazers in Brooklyn. Sitting on the dais, his tie loosened and slightly askew, Kidd spoke haltingly, seemingly searching for answers as to why a team with high...

Is Jason Kidd already on the hot seat in Brooklyn?

As Deron Williams returns to the starting lineup tonight for the Brooklyn Nets against the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday after missing the last two games with a sprained ankle, he hopes to be the spark to ignite the team’s fire this season after sluggish start to the season that has been plagued with injuries. Brook Lopez could be a step closer to reclaiming his starting role...

NBA scout says Jason Kidd doesn’t coach

I’ve never been a fan of the Brooklyn Nets hiring of Jason Kidd. Especially once the Nets acquired Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. A rookie head coach with NO assistant coaching experience, saddle with a team with no clear identity. Just seemed like a recipe for disaster. But, I was cool with taking a wait and see approach. Two weeks into the season an anonymous NBA scout has said...

Deron Williams Leaves Game With Sprained Ankle (Video)

Deron Williams, who missed the past two games for the Nets with a sprained left ankle, was forced to leave Wednesday’s game against the Bobcats after rolling that same ankle again. Williams twisted his ankle on Kemba Walker’s foot as he landed from a jumper. He shot free throws before the Nets took a foul to get him out of the game. The post Deron Williams Leaves Game With Sprained...

Nets: Kidd not to blame for us stinking

After an underachieving start, the Nets used all kinds of adjectives to describe the mood around the team, and none of them were good. Paul Pierce went with angry, Kevin Garnett said dismal and even the normally taciturn Brook Lopez admitted they were disappointed in themselves. The Nets (3-7) arguably are the biggest disappointment in the NBA, having dropped five of six, including...

NBA scout on Jason Kidd’s coaching: ‘He doesn’t do anything’

Following a 3-7 start, Brooklyn Nets coach Jason Kidd has been blasted for not doing anything in his job description by an NBA scout.

Deron Williams reinjures ankle as reeling Nets fall at Charlotte

Kemba Walker scored a season-high 31 points and the Charlotte Bobcats handed the turnover-prone Brooklyn Nets their sixth loss in their past seven games 95-91 on Wednesday night. Walker was 12 of 20 from the field and knocked down four 3-pointers as the Bobcats (6-6) snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Nets. Walker hit two free throws with 6.1 seconds left to seal the win...

Kevin Garnett is Not Being Used Properly So Far by Jason Kidd

The $190 million Brooklyn Nets are off to a rough start. They are 3-8, and general manager Billy King and owner Mikhail Prokhorov’s plan to mortgage the team’s future – draft picks and cap space – in an effort to win now – this year – looks like a total failure. While they’ve beaten the Heat – by one point on November 1st in a game the Nets controlled – and blown...

Jason Terry denies that Nets held players-only meeting

The Brooklyn Nets, a team that many analysts perceived to be a threat to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference, are searching for answers after starting the season 3-7. In fact, things have gotten so bad that the team held a players-only meeting following a home loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on November 18th. The meeting lasted about 25 minutes and once the media were allowed...

This Video Perfectly Sums Up The 2013-14 Brooklyn Nets (So Far)

This year’s version of the Brooklyn Nets is costing Russian owner Mikhail Prokhorov roughly 8 kajillion dollars in luxury tax penalties, and what has it gotten him? A 3-7 record, Kevin Garnett’s corpse, and Jason Kidd — which is really just a fancy name for “Lawrence Frank’s Puppet”. In the final minute of an embarrassing home loss to the (surprisingly 9-2) Portland Trailblazers...

Jason Kidd, Mike Woodson Among NBA Coaches Feeling Early-Season Heat

It’s rare but hardly unprecedented for a struggling NBA team to fire its head coach less than a month into a season. Just look at last year, when the Lakers canned Mike Brown with the team off to a 1-4 start. As it turned out, Brown really wasn’t the problem, and he landed on his feet back in Cleveland this offseason. So, it’s never too early to ponder which coach might be...

Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, and Andrei Kirilenko probably won't play vs Minnesota tonight

Lopez has missed the Nets' last three games against the Clippers, Blazers, and Bobcats--all losses--after spraining his ankle in the Brooklyn win over the Suns As the Nets look to regroup from a shocking loss on Wednesday at the hands of the Bobcats and try to snap their three-game losing streak, they most likely won't be with the talents of three key players...

Nets down five with injuries for tonight's game against Minnesota

The Brooklyn Nets have scratched Deron Williams, Andrei Kirilenko, Brook Lopez and Jason Terry for Friday night's game against Minnesota. This has been a season so far of injuries and losses for the Nets, who began the year with big expectations but are 3-8. Coach Jason Kidd says injuries are part of the game and the team must stay together during this tough stretch. Williams...
