Breaking News! The NBA has decided to cancel the opening night Thursday game between the New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets because of hurricane Sandy. Hurricane Sandy was a dangerous hurricane that nobody expected that Sandy could cause much damage than it was previously reported by the news media. The subway systems have been flooded with massive amount of salt water, people have lost power in Manhatten, Staten Island and some bridges are closed down as well. This was the right move made by the NBA to postponed the game and make up the game another time during the season. Right now, it is TBD when this game get madeup. So instead, the Knicks will open up their season Friday night hosting the Miami Heat in Madison Square Garden and the Nets will open up their season Saturday night hosting the Toronto Raptors in the new Barclays Center. Let's hope and pray that everyone is safe out-there from this horrible hurricane.
