Kobe Bryant hit Twitter for the first time on Christmas, taking over the @nikebasketball feed for three full days. "It was cool. It was just fun. I had a good time talking with a lot of the fans," said Bryant. "The coolest thing about that was the one-on-one interaction. It was like I was getting flooded with text messages from fans and it was pretty cool to be able to have a dialogue back with them. I enjoyed it." Bryant has been active on his Facebook account but he may not be ready to be a full-time Twitter participant. "The one thing about me is that when I'm doing it, I enjoy doing it myself," said Bryant. "I don't know if I have the time available to really give the fans the attention that they deserve." Bryant resisted joining Twitter for a number of years, but finally decided to test the waters. "I really just didn't know how to use it, but I decided 'Well, why not give it a shot and just talk to the fans directly?' I found it to be enjoyable. I had a good time," he said. "I heard a lot of great comments. You're able to get a lot of great feedback about the game but also about the product as well what they thought, what they like, what they didn't like. It's the best way to gauge reaction." -Eric Pincus
