According to Los Angeles Lakers head coach Mike Brown, star shooting guard Kobe Bryant may not be ready to play in the team’s season-opener on Tuesday night versus the Dallas Mavericks, ESPN Los Angeles reports. It appears that Bryant may not have healed enough from his foot injury that could sideline him versus the Mavs. “I don’t know if he’ll be ready,” Brown said. “So yeah, I guess there is question. I’m just going to wait for [Lakers trainer] Gary Vitti to tell me he can play, because there’s nothing I can do about it until they release him anyway.” Bryant sat out of the team’s seventh preseason game versus the Los Angeles Clippers, and he will be sidelined for the eighth and final one versus the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night in San Diego. According to several sources, it is believed that it is a foot strain injury for the 17-year veteran. Bryant was having foot treated a lot during Wednesday’s game and has sat out several practices after experiencing discomfort with his right foot. We’ll see soon if the Black Mamba is a go for next Tuesday. The post Kobe Might Not Be Able to Play In Season-Opener appeared first on FootBasket.
