Apparently, Red Sox Nation is not all that enthused about helping Koji Uehara get into the All-Star game. Maybe it was his role in last Saturday's Nightmare On LaLa Street, or maybe they'd rather the Carmine Hose trade for a real closer. In an event, Uehara has dropped from second to fourth place in the most recent tally of fan voting for the final ASG spot. If you like him, you'd better vote quickly! You can still do that HERE.

Let’s thank the sweet, sweet baseball gods for gracing us with the 2013 All-Star break, shall we?
The injuries for the Boston Red Sox are piling up quickly and the break couldn’t possibly have picked a better time to show up. If it wasn’t bad already, Andrew Miller is now likely done for the season. According to the Boston Globe’s Peter Abraham, Miller has a torn ligament...
The Red Sox had quite the game Tuesday night, and it’s no coincidence that David Ortiz had a big game, too.
The Boston designated hitter was once again the power behind the Sox’ attack, going 4-for-5 with a homer run as Boston racked up 16 hits and five home runs on its way to its 11-8 win over the Mariners.
On top of the win, the night also marked several special occasions for...
(Stephen Brashear/Getty Images)Today was not Ryan Dempster's day. He hurled just three and one-third innings and gave up seven earned runs. However, his misfortune was a great opportunity for Steven Wright. No, not the guy who has his personal seashell collection scattered across the beaches of the Earth. This Steven Wright is the knuckle-balling new guy who pitched 5 2/3 stellar...
The Boston Red Sox added needed depth to its bullpen calling up right-handers Steven Wright and Pedro Beato.
The Red Sox made the moves Wednesday before facing the Seattle Mariners. Boston optioned starter Allen Webster and reliever Alfredo Aceves to Triple-A Pawtucket to clear roster spots.
The decision to send out Webster leaves the Red Sox needing a starter for Sunday's...
Before Monday night's game, Red Sox manager John Farrell stated that pitcher Andrew Miller will need foot surgery and is probably out for the rest of the season.
As reported by Jacob Thorpe of MLB.com,

Red Sox lost...
Clay Buchholz finished a light, but eagerly anticipated, bullpen session yesterday and therefore could return to the mound for the Red Sox within a week after the All-Star break.

They don’t hand out trophies for success before the All-Star break, but the Red Sox have to feel pretty good about their performance so far.
The team entered Thursday with a record of 56-37, leading the AL East by three games and boasting the highest win total in the major leagues.
We all how the players have performed this season. David Ortiz has come back better than ever from...
The Red Sox broke out and in a big way on Tuesday night, as many of their fans on the East Coast slept the night away.
Boston bounced back after dropping the first game in Seattle to pound the Mariners 11-8 in the second game of the series, a game that started after 10 p.m. in the East and ended up lasting 3 hours and 44 minutes.
Part of the reason the game took so long, of course...
Daniel Nava hit a two-out single in the top of the 10th inning to score pinch-runner Jackie Bradley Jr., and the Boston Red Sox rallied from a four-run deficit for the second time in a four-game series to beat the Seattle Mariners 8-7 in 10 innings on Thursday.
Ryan Lavarnway walked to open the 10th against Seattle's Tom Wilhelmsen (0-3) and was replaced by Bradley. Brady Holt...

For a second straight night the Red Sox offense was in sync and they pounded out 11 runs against the Mariners. Starting pitching was dominant, one of Doubronts best outings of the season and set the tone for the Sox all night long. Here are the 3 stars of the game:
Star 3: Shane Victorino
Victornio had a 2-4 night before being subbed out by JBJ for...
The beginning of the game was rough to watch and then the game continued to drag on, so most of Red Sox Nation missed the end of the game, but if you were one of the few that stayed up to watch the whole game you saw an offensive explosion by both teams. They combined for 19 runs and 29 hits. Here are the 3 stars of the game:
Star 3: Dustin Pedroia...
Would you rather be the Boston Red Sox, losers of three in a row but maintaining a 3.5-game lead in the AL East? Or the New York Yankees, winners of six-of-eight yet still five games back?
That’s what I thought. Everybody calm down.
The Red Sox (54-37) are going through their toughest stretch of the season, having blown a four-run ninth-inning...
With the July 31 trade deadline sneaking up, Red Sox General Manager Ben Cherington is still looking into making some moves. Cherington has scouts out searching for relief pitchers, right-handed hitters, and possibly a starting pitcher, according to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe.
As of now, relief is top priority. The Sox are still looking into...
