It is safe to say that since beating Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl at the conclusion of the 2007 season, Kansas football has gone downhill…literally. KU recorded 12 wins in the 2007/08 season, 9 wins in 2008, 5 wins in 2009, 3 wins in 2010, 2 wins in 2011, and 1 win in 2012. The post KU and Charlie Weis release five new helmets via Twitter and Vine; raising excitement appeared first on No Coast Bias |.

Kansas Jayhawks unveil awesome new football uniforms

Kansas Jayhawks head coach Charlie Weis posted this vine video of the new Jayhawks football uniforms on Twitter and they are sweet.  The video doesn’t show the pants, but the helmet and jersey combos are phenomenal. The matte black helmet with the black jersey looks great, and so does the blue jersey with the red helmet and the throwback Jayhawks logo.  My personal favorite though...

Kansas’ New Football Uniforms Are Pretty Great

Charlie Weis, who is now the head coach over at Kansas, took to Twitter to release a short video showing off the new uniforms that the Kansas football team will be rocking for the 2013 season. The uniforms are definitely a change from previous, but offer a coolness factor that was missing. All in all they look like great changes. [Diehard Sport] Article found on: Next Impulse Sports

Virginia Tech back on the schedule in 2021

Take the time to ponder this for a moment: the next time WVU plays Virginia Tech the guys taking the field in that game are currently in elementary school and junior high. The two nationally relevant programs announced today that they will square off again in 2021 (Morgantown, W.Va.) and 2022 (Blacksburg, Va.). The fact these two rivals could put any differences aside and find...

Virginia Tech's top hoops recruit denied admission

According to Mark Berman of the Roanoke Times, Virginia Tech will not have their top rated recruit, Donte Clark, on campus any time soon.  Berman has a source that claims Clark was denied admission for summer school and likely the fall semester. More from Berman... Clark was one of the six signees in the 2012-13 men’s basketball recruiting class, but he won’t be enrolling...

West Virginia, Virginia Tech to renew rivalry in 2021 with home-and-home series

Hughes to Oklahoma and other links

Former BC baseball coach Pete Hughes -- who recently survived a heart attack -- is leaving Virginia Tech to coach Oklahoma. From a baseball perspective, this is a major step up. It is also a huge salary boost. When Hughes left BC, it was because he wanted to go to a program with a commitment to baseball. He turned those resources into a Virginia Tech NCAA tournament appearance. I...

Down The Road

It will take more than eight years to get West Virginia and Virginia Tech back on the same football field, but the bitter border battle will recommence in the fall of 2021 with the first game of a two-game series.
