Kvapil Ready for Fresh Start at Kansas

It's a new beginning for the Sprint Cup Series at Kansas Speedway. The 1.5-mile track will have a fresh surface and updated banking geometry when the series arrives for Sunday's Hollywood Casino 400. Travis Kvapil, driver of the No. 93 Burger King/Dr Pepper Toyota, drove to a 25th-place finish in his last race at Kansas, but recognizes that this weekend will be a whole new ball game. He hopes the team's past experience at similar tracks will lead to a successful week in the Sunflower State. Kvapil has seven Cup Series starts at Kansas. He best performance was in 2006, finishing 19th. He's led three Cup Series events at Kansas (2005, 2006, 2011) for a total of five laps. In Camping World Truck Series competition, Kvapil has six starts under his belt. He's achieved four top-10s and one top-five finish.
