The Los Angeles Kings defeated the St. Louis Blues Wednesday night in Game 5 to take a 3-2 series lead. The Kings beat the Blues 3-2 in OT and now have won three straight games in this series after the Blues took a 2-0 early lead in the series. Slava Voynov was the hero tonight scoring the game winning goal in overtime. Voynov scored the only goal in Game 3 as the Kings cut the Blues series lead to 2-1. Jeff Carter also had the two other goals for the Kings. Once again the Blues have struggled to score as Jonathan Quick stopped 34 shots and was remarkable once again. With the Kings leading 2-1, Alex Pietrangelo scored with 45 seconds left to tie the game at two as it seemed like the Blues' late game heroics were in tact once again. In the end, it was a disappointing loss for the Blues as the Kings came into the Scottrade Center and shocked the Blues' crowd.
