MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Bucks center Larry Sanders is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Cleveland due to a swollen right thumb and is under investigation for an off-the-court incident.
Reports came out Wednesday evening that Sanders was apparently involved in an incident at a Milwaukee establishment Saturday night. Bucks coach Larry Drew commented on the matter in his pregame gathering with the media but said the reason Sanders was sitting out Wednesday was due to the thumb injury.
WTMJ-4 NBC-TV in Milwaukee reported on its 5 p.m. news that police are investigating a fight that occurred Saturday night at Apartment 720, a nightclub located at 720 N. Milwaukee St. in Downtown Milwaukee. Sanders is alleged in the report to have thrown punches in the fight and broken champagne bottles over the heads of more than one person. The Bucks lost to the Raptors on Saturday night at the Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee.
