DraftStreet is at the forefront of this new trend in the fantasy world and is giving us a great promotion: a FREE one-day fantasy league with $300 in prizes exclusively for Celtics Life fans.
This free contest will be salary-cap style drafting where everyone tries to assemble the best team out of the available players. You will have a $100,000 budget to build a team of 2 forwards, 2 guards, 2 centers, and...
BEST OF MAXIM
In the "New Big 3" era... or is it the Kevin Garnett era now? What are we calling it at this point? In the last 6 seasons since the Celtics have been good again, they have never really had a backup point guard. They've gone through a list of shooting guards who've filled in as ball handlers; Eddie House, Delonte West, Nate Robinson, Keyon Dooling, Leandro...
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
A team source said that forward Kevin Garnett, who missed his seventh consecutive game with inflammation in his left ankle, is expected to return to action Friday against the Cavaliers.
“Yeah, I guess. I don’t...
It's amazing how teams that are tanking and want to lose every game still get up for the Celtics. Maybe it's Byron Scott's Laker hate of the Celtics or years of getting beaten by them but they all hate the Celtics. And everyone hates on Tommy. But I love him, and don't want any announcer but him. I'm not so upset about this loss. We didn't have ...
Celtics got past the Pistons last night at the Garden 98-93. Jeff Green was once again fantastic, notching 34 points and hitting key buckets down the stretch. Boston is off until tomorrow when they face the Cavs at TD Garden. Tip-off is set for 7:30pm EST.
Check out some pics/GIFs from last night’s game via HoopChina. I also included bonus video of Green’s 34 point performance..
BOSTON — Doc Rivers admits he does not watch a whole lot of women’s basketball. Between coaching his own team and closely following high school, AAU and college basketball thanks to his son Austin‘s stellar play over the last few years, Rivers spends plenty of time watching the men’s version of the game.
The Celtics coach did find it intriguing, though, when a reporter mentioned...
Jeff Green scored 23 points and Shavlik Randolph contributed with a carrer-high 16 points, but it wasn't enough as theCavaliers beat the Boston Celtics 97-91. Jared Weiss from CLNS Radio recaps the game in tonight's Three at the Buzzer.
8:12: The Celtics had a very decent first quarter. They currently are ahead 28-26, but they should be doing better. They gotta beat these weak teams. Technically, they're doing that, but they need to do it better. This is getting ridiculous.
More postgame interviews as they become available. On a side note, congrats to Paul Pierce and his wife on their newborn son Prince Pierce.

Tonight's win over the Pistons wasn't pretty, easy, or enjoyable. But it was a win. Right now, this Celtics team could use a lot of those. They are slipping in the conference standings, so every game is pretty much becoming a must win. The bottom line: this win was big.
Tonight's USOTN goes to the one-sided offensive rebounding. The Celtics have been a horrible rebounding...
Highlights from the Celtics playoff clinching win last night. Celtics box score below.
BOSTON — Doc Rivers has been asked several times over the past few weeks about how closely he is following his team’s position in the standings. When the query was posed again Friday after the Celtics’ loss to the Cavaliers, Rivers jokingly rolled his eyes.
“How many times do I have to answer this?” he asked, putting up his hands and looking around the interview room at...
Jeff Green scored 34 points, including a 3-pointer with 45 seconds left to snap Boston's two-minute scoring drought, and the Celtics clinched a playoff berth by beating the Detroit Pistons 98-93 on Wednesday night.
Paul Pierce and Brandon Bass scored 17 apiece for the Celtics, who had lost two in a row and seven of their previous nine. But the victory, coupled with Philadelphia...
Bryan Hearne played Andre Rey Peetes in Hardball
I say the kid rocks the headband better. And unfortunately for Boston, unlike Peetes, I don’t think the Celtics (especially without Rondo) will make it to the “Ship” this year…

Another award-winning performance by Keanu Reeves in this scene.
Tristan Thompson finished with a career high 29 points and 17 boards.
Everyone take a deep breath. The losing streak is over. We can all relax. Well, at least a little bit.
Cavaliers bounced back from (possibly) their worst loss of the season, beating the Boston Celtics 97-91 and snapping their season-long 10-game losing streak. Tristan Thompson led everyone with 29 points and 17...
