Left over But Left Out

One of the toughest things for a college football aspiring to be a professional is too find his name left off the NFL draft list after its over. Years of hard work and frustration are gone and now the player faces the uncertainity of where his career might go next. There is always a chance that NFL teams seeking extra help for camp may buy and that player might make the team but what happens to those who dont become so lucky. The Canadian Football League is an option but what about the Arena Football League.Players like Mike Hartline of Kentucky or Taylor Potts of Texas Tech with their lightning quick arms might be good fits for this offensive minded league. It gives these guys a chance too continue their careers while they wait for the next step. Money may have a lot too do with rather or not these college leftovers make a move to the AFL. The leagues new system is below that of the NFL and CFL in terms of pay. AFL teams have done very little in terms of pursing college undrafted talent in the past but with the season longer and injuries they may need too do just that too keep their teams competive all season long. NEXT WEEK I will have my interview with ANTHony Herron of the NFL Network one of the truly great people that make AFL football so special Look for Spokane to beat Philadelphia 67-45 on friday night and check out the premiere of the AFL on Siruis Radio on channels 92. The series will run through the rest of the season.

  • I am in total agreement if We can get the powers in the nfl and the hotsy totsy networks to quit looking down their proverbial noses and realize the product that is here and the players flying around trying to catch that one eye that one chance, reams do come true, hmm gotta be more than one Curt Warner.
