ST. LOUIS -- Another soccer friendly is headed to St. Louis. Relevent Sports and the St. Louis Cardinals announced Wednesday that the Argentina national team will face either Bosnia-Herzegovina or a team to be named on Nov. 18 at Busch Stadium. The participation of Bosnia-Herzegovina is dependent on its ability to qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. If it fails, it will be replaced in the friendly by a team to be determined. Bosnia-Herzegovina currently leads Greece in Group G of UEFA World Cup qualifying on goal differential as both teams are tied with 19 points. The Bosnians host Liechtenstein on Oct. 11, then travel to Lithuania on Oct. 15 to close out the final round of qualifying. In May, Manchester City played rival Chelsea in front of a capacity crowd of 48, 263 at Busch Stadium. "We are very excited to bring soccer back to Busch Stadium," said Bill DeWitt III, president of the Cardinals. "St. Louisans will have what is likely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see Lionel Messi -- one of the greatest players in the world -- in one of the most iconic settings in St. Louis. Soccer fans won't want to miss it." Tickets to the 7:30 p.m. match at Busch will go on sale to the general public Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. at cardinals.comsoccer, the Busch Stadium box office and 314-345-9000. A special pre-sale for Cardinals season ticket holders and club VIPs will begin Oct. 8. Argentina, led by FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi, recently qualified for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.The team leads South American World Cup qualifying with two matches remaining. The team has won the World Cup twice and also features top players such as Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid) and Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli). The Bosnians are led by Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, Miralem Pjanic from Italian club Roma and former St. Louis University player Vedad Ibevsic, who plays for Stuttgart in Germany.
