Look forward to another week of "extensive" Wildcat plays
Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is set to return from his two-week suspension this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs at Lincoln Financial Field. Yesterday there was some apprehension as to whether or not Michael Vick would even be the second quarterback going into week-three and therefore not involved in the offensive scheme.
Well, those of you who were 'actually' worried that Mike Vick wouldn't see any playing time can join the rest of us in safely assuming the obvious.
According to ESPN's Sal Paolantonio, the Philadelphia Eagles are working on an "extensive" package of plays for the "Wildcat Originator" to use during this weeks game. The package of plays consist of Shotgun and Wildcat formations.
Sal Paolantonio wasn't fooled one bit by Andy Reid when he was downplaying whether or not he would allow Vick to be involved into the Eagles offensive game plan for this Sunday. "Too much time and emotion has been invested by Vick, this franchise, and this city to get Vick to this point and not have him play." Said Sal Paolantonio during a Sports Center segment.
So from what has transpired yesterday it is safe to assume two things; one, due to Donovan's fracture he cannot throw the ball to his maximum ability, thus Kevin Kolb will be the starter. Two, Michael Vick will undoubtedly be the number two back-up going into this game.
