Los Angeles Lakers: What All Projected Second Stringers MUST Work On
PG: Steve Blake- Consistency
Steve Blake, now in his fourth season with the Lakers, needs to improve his consistency from last season. He had some games where he looked excellent, while in other games, he disappeared for 48 minutes. Steve Blake is a solid player and is important for the Lakers’ success, as he is their top backup.
SG: Jodie Meeks- Passing
Jodie Meeks came in as a good player off the Lakers’ bench last season, as he brings scoring and shooting to the lineup when Kobe Bryant sits. One stat that has not been up to par is his assist numbers. Meeks has a career assist average of 0.9 per game. Shooting guards aren’t normally assist men, but Meeks improving would be beneficial to the Lakers.
SF: Wesley Johnson- Playing to potential
