The Gators are off to a strong start in their 2013 recruiting class, and linebacker James Hearns is one of the reasons why. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound junior from Lincoln (Tallahassee, FL) says the Florida coaches stuck with him while he was working through an injury, and that motivated him all the more to get fully healthy again.
The Gators remember what happened when they opened SEC play in Knoxville last month. Florida dropped an 11-point decision against the Volunteers while opening conference play with a flat, emotionless effort. The loss woke the Gators up as they ripped off a seven-game winning streak that came to an end on Tuesday. They have an opportunity for revenge against Tennessee on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Gators sophomore Will Yeguete suffers concussion vs. TennesseeGAINESVILLE – Forward Will Yeguete is doubtful for the Florida game at Alabama on Tuesday after suffering a concussion during Saturday's loss to Tennessee.
The Gators of Gautier struggled through a difficult season in 2011. GHS will have a new coach at the helm in 2012 and the new staff will be fortunate to see #7 Xavien Johnson on the roster for one more season. Johnson is one of the Mississippi Gulf Coast's top players for the 2013 signing class. Highlights of Johnson in action are featured in this FOXSportsNext presentation.
The last two months have been very busy for signal caller Christian Hackenberg. The 6'3 and 205-pound quarterback is up to ten offers with the Florida Gators being the most recent offer.
