The Pit Stop:
The major Tony Stewart update is out and Tony Stewart is not going to be back for the rest of the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup season. Mark Martin is going to drive the rest of the season except for the Talladega race where Austin Dillion is going to get the ride.
Over at Michael Waltrip Racing Brian Vickers is going to be in 12 of the final 13 races. Michael Waltrip will get the car at Talladega which was already going to take place.
In a Kurt Busch update Kurt Busch could land in a fourth car at Stewart Haas racing.
Juan Pablo Montoya could wind up back in the IRL with Andretti Autosport.
Ty Dillion is going to moving up to the Nationwide Series next year in the #3 car. Sponsorship so far is an 8 race commitment from Yeungling Light beer.
MY quick Kurt Busch,Mark Martin, and Juan Pablo Montoya thoughts...
Unless Kurt Busch lands the #29 ride I do not see any reason why he should leave the #78 ride. Stewart Hass Racing still needs sponsorship for next s...

When Tony Stewart made the announcement last month that Ryan Newman would not be returning to Stewart-Haas Racing in 2014, he added, "We are not ready to expand to a fourth team."
Maybe that's about to change. Sources tell FOXSports.com that Kurt Busch has been made a formal offer to join Stewart-Haas Racing next season.
Neither Stewart, who is recovering from a broken...
Breaking late Sunday was the report from Fox Sports reporter Lee Spencer that Kurt Busch has been offered a ride at Stewart-Haas Racing. That is just weird on so many different levels and coming out of left field.
Why this could work: Busch is having a revitalizing year with Furniture Row Racing, who, for all their help from Richard Childress Racing, are still a single car operation...
Eric Maycroft, the front tire changer for Michael Waltrip Racing's No. 56 Sprint Cup team, has been suspended indefinitely by NASCAR for failing his drug test Aug. 16 at Watkins Glen.
Maycroft violated Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 19 (Violation of the NASCAR Substance Abuse Policy), according to NASCAR. He has been replaced by Terry Spalding starting...
Quick, raise your hand if you’re surprised to see Kurt Busch in a Chase position with just three races to go before the Chase?
(Writer’s hand is in the air.)
However, like many of you, I wouldn’t say I’m shocked to see the No. 78 Chevrolet ninth in the points at this point in the season.
It’s not as though, say, Danica Patrick is fighting for a position in NASCAR’s playoff...
Updates with background, details By NOAH TRISTER AP Sports Writer Less than a decade removed from a championship in NASCAR's top series, Kurt Busch is an underdog now.
It's a role he seems plenty comfortable with.
There are three races remaining in the regular season, and Busch is ninth in the points standings, meaning he has a decent shot at a surprising berth in the Chase...
Brian Vickers will take over the seat of the No. 55 Toyota for 12 of the remaining 13 races on the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Schedule.
Mark Martin who was scheduled to drive in some of the races will fill in as the driver of the No. 14 car of Stewart Hass Racing with Tony Stewart sidelined for the rest of the season.
The move is unsurprising considering Vickers, who won at New Hampshire...
Tony Stewart will not be back in a race car in 2013 after suffering a broken right leg one week ago. That announcement on Monday set off a string of events that made sense, but came as a surprise. Stewart-Haas Racing and Michael Waltrip Racing were able to negotiate the[...]
Three-time Cup champion Tony Stewart will miss the rest of the season because of broken right leg. He will be replaced in the Stewart-Hass No. 14 Chevrolet by Austin Dillon and Mark Martin.
Stewart is expected to return in time for preseason testing in January 2014.
Martin was granted his release Monday from Michael Waltrip Racing to join SHS. He will drive the No. 14 this weekend...
Jeff Gordon stated that has a great racecar today.
When the green flag dropped it was go time for Kurt Busch that got the race lead. Clint Bowyer though at the end of the lap took a wild spin through the grass by himself to bring out the caution. On the restart Joey Logano got the better restart and the race lead, but at lap 8 it was caution time again as David Reutimann...
Tony Stewart and Stewart/Haas Racing announced Monday afternoon that Stewart will miss the remainder of the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season due to injuries suffered in a Sprint Car crash in Iowa nearly two weeks ago.
Stewart has missed the last two races at Watkins Glen and Michigan as Max Papis filled in at the Glen and Austin Dillon took the wheel in Michigan.
At MIS, rumors...
