Martin Brodeur had some issues with his stick and his skating on Saturday, which is a real issue if you’re an NHL goaltender. The legendary Devils goalie had some big problems on Saturday during the Devils’ matchup with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Brodeur was left without a stick, as he lost it and it ended up in the corner to his right. After having to defend the Jersey cage for a few seconds sans stick (on the penalty kill no less), Brodeur was given a break. The puck was cleared down the ice, allowing Brodeur to leave the net to go pick up his stick. He sprinted over and picked up the stick with no problems. On his skate back to the net, however, things got a little dicey. Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury sensed an opportunity and shot from his net on the other end. He collected the puck and shot it up ice. The puck actually ended up hitting the post, as Brodeur skated toward the crease to try and make the stop. In the process, the future Hall of Famer went stumbling. See it all unfold below.
