(Graphic Courtesy ACC Digital Network) #9 Florida State (18-12, 9-9 ACC) vs. #8 Maryland (17-14, 9-9 ACC) Eighth-seeded Maryland begins its final ACC Tournament Thursday as it takes on Florida State at noon in Greensboro Coliseum on ESPN. The winner will play top-seeded Virginia Friday at noon. Maryland is 4-0 in ACC tournament play versus Florida State. The Terrapins are led by junior Dez Wells, recently named third team All-ACC in both media and coaches’ polls. Wells has scored 9.6 of his team high 14.8 points per game after intermission this season. FSU led the ACC in field goal percentage this season, while finishing second in the conference in field goal percentage defense. Florida State closed the regular season strong, winning three of their final four games, with the only loss coming in the season finale against Syracuse.
