Less than a week ago, Matt Bartkowski was thought to be headed for Calgary. The rookie defenseman was one of the Bruins prospects involved in the proposed trade for Flames star Jarome Iginla. But Iginla opted to take his talents to Pittsburgh, so Bartkowski stayed put and on Sunday found his way onto the scoresheet for the first time. The 24-year-old assisted on David Krejci‘s goal with seven minutes remaining in what turned out to be a 2-0 win over Buffalo, snapping a two-game losing skid for the B’s and marking Bartkowski’s first NHL point. Check out Bartkowski’s postgame interview with Naoko Funayama in the video above.
