Five year NASCAR vet Michael McDowell has been tabbed to run the full 2012 Sprint Cup season for Phil Parsons Racing. McDowell will pilot the #98 Ford Fusion for Parsons and new partner Mike Curb. Parsons merged his team with Whitney Motorsports during the off-season hoping to increase fortunes for the '12 season.The #98 Fusion will run Roush power under the hood. The head will be headed up by crew chief Gene Nead, who has worked with McDowell in previous Sprint Cup and NASCAR Nationwide Series efforts at PPR and Michael Waltrip Racing.
