Official White House Photo The Avalanche is honoring members of the military at the Friday night game against Carolina, and one of them will be a young father now attending Colorado State University in Fort Collins. His name is Salvatore Giunta. He’s 27 and has gone back to school after leaving the service last July. He and his wife, Jennifer, were married in October 2009 and they have an infant daughter. On December 15, 2010, I was among a small group of reporters who briefly interviewed Giunta between periods of the Avalache-Blackhawks game at the United Center.
