Men's And Women's Tennis Celebrate Senior Day With Wins Over Hofstra

The Seawolves honored their four seniors- Paola Rodolfi (Asuncion, Paraguay), Halvar Dil (Amersfort, Netherlands), Jon Epstein (Silver Spring, Md.) and Ilan Shvartz (Haifa Isreal)- prior to the match.The women started their match out by earning the doubles point. Senior Paola Rodolfi (Asuncion, Paraguay) and sophomore Prerana Appineni (Hyderabad, India) won 8-6 at No. 1 and sophomore Anna Pieschl (Gothenburg, Sweden) and junior Gayatri Krishnan (Chennai, India) also won 8-6 at No. 2. Sophomore Katherine Hanson (Smithtown, N.Y.) and sophomore Salome Mkervalidze (Brewster, N.Y.) won 8-5 at No. 3.SBU cruised through the singles matches, winning all but one in straight sets.
