Laker fans get your DVR’s ready. Metta World Peace is about to hit TV land again and this time he won’t be dancing in spandex.

Coming this fall, a movie based on Nancy Grace’s best-selling novel, “The Eleventh Victim,” will debut on the Lifetime network. Jennie Garth of “90210″ fame will star along with Los Angeles Lakers, Metta World Peace.

Metta World Peace will star in the movie as Garlan Fincher, a Georgia police detective who works very closely with Garth’s character, a district attorney.

‘I wanted to cast someone for whom I have a true fondness. Metta World Peace was my first pick.’ The Eleventh Victim follows Garth’s character as she pursues the conviction of serial killer Clinton Burrell Cruise. The case becomes personal for Hailey when she is physically attacked by Cruise in open court. While still recovering, Hailey moves to New York and begins a new career as a therapist. When her clients start to turn up dead — with the murderer using the same M.O. as the Atlanta killer she put behind bars — she is forced to help catch a cold-blooded killer who could very well make her his next target.”

But wait. There’s more…..2 more.

According to World Peace’s IMDB page, he is also appearing in two other upcoming movies, “9 Full Moons” and “Waking.” Let’s see how Metta sizes up with Hollywood before we start giving him praise for booking these roles. haha
