After the fender-clanging show that Marcos Ambrose and Brad Keselowski put on last Sunday at Watkins Glen International, the two drivers could be forgiven if they needed to take a deep breath. With the cut-off point for the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup bearing down on the field, neither one can afford a let-up. Ambrose and Keselowski will have extra incentive -- if not similar motives -- to score a win in Sunday's Pure Michigan 400 (1 p.m. ET, ESPN) at Michigan International Speedway, a track where both drivers have had more than a small dose of success. Ambrose, the charismatic Aussie who prevailed over Keselowski in a classic lead-swapping finish at the Glen, has turned his lone victory this season into an opportunity to inject his name into the Chase wild-card hunt. Two wild-card berths for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series postseason are available for drivers ranked 11th to 20th in the season standings with the most victories. Another win, which would be Ambrose's first on...

Keselowski hoping for win in home state

With three wins this season - and a near-victory last weekend - Brad Keselowski has established himself as one of NASCAR's top drivers. Now, he just needs to reverse an unpleasant trend at a place near and dear to his heart. Keselowski is from Rochester Hills, about 90 miles from Michigan International Speedway, but he's never won in six Sprint Cup starts at the track ...

Keselowski may have to watch his back

Brad Keselowski still hasn't made amends with Kyle Busch. Last Sunday, Keselowski slid into Busch on an oil-slicked track at Watkins Glen and knocked him out of the lead on the final lap. Keselowski said that, because of the conditions of the track, "There was nothing I could do." After the race, however, Keselowski tracked down Busch's crew chief Dave Rogers...

Brad Keselowski’s new ESPN Commercial

Have you seen Brad Keselowski’s new commercial for ESPN?  If not you can catch it below. This season, Brad Keselowski understands that nothing is harder than winning. If winning were easy, losers would do it. [...]

Featured NASCAR Driver of the Week: Marcos Ambrose

After a wild finish at Watkins Glen and defending his 2011 victory at the track, Marcos Ambrose went from 18th place in the standings to being a possible Wild Card contender for the Chase for the Sprint Cup. With his first win of the season in the Finger Lakes 355 at the Glen, Ambrose gained one position in the standings and placed himself into contention for the Wild Card battle...

Brad Keselowski Featured in New ESPN NASCAR Ad

Driver Brad Keselowski is featured in the newest “Nothing Beats First Place” ad to promote ESPN’s coverage of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, the third of four ads in the humorous campaign. In the new spot, Keselowski fights to stay awake after a gigantic turkey feast, gets (fake) pepper-sprayed while trying to decipher an autostereogram image and answers odd questions at a news...

Keselowski, Wolfe hitting their stride

When Paul Wolfe decided to give NASCAR a try, he made sure he had a backup plan. ''I became a certified welder,'' Wolfe said. ''I never really thought driving would ever provide me a chance. The opportunity to work on cars was more realistic. I wasn't really thinking about driving when I got into it.'' It's good to be a realist. Since moving...

Wild Card Battle Intense as Drivers Prepare for Michigan

Card Sharks: Wild Battle For Chase Spot As Playoffs Loom You could say Marcos Ambrose did himself – and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series fans – a big favor by winning at Watkins Glen International for the second consecutive season. Ambrose’s Aug. 11 victory gives him a shot at his first Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup™ appearance. He also became the sixth different winner among...

Getting down to desperation time

I am very excited to see how everything plays out during these final four races of what we call our regular season. I really believe we are going to see guys let it all hang out and roll the dice in some situations. I hate to use the word desperation, but there are guys out there who are desperate to make the NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup, knowing the opportunity will slip through...

Brad Keselowski seeks resolution to issues with Kyle Busch

Kyle Busch hasn't spoken to Brad Keselowski since the last-lap incident that knocked Busch out of the lead last Sunday at Watkins Glen International. Kyle Busch hasn't spoken to reporters either, declining to share his views of the collision after the race and after Friday's qualifying session at Michigan International Speedway. Busch had plenty of reason to be disappointed...

Winners and losers from a wild one at Watkins Glen

It's easy to identify all the winners and losers from Sunday's Finger Lakes 355 at Watkins Glen International -- or is it? Here's my take on a wild race at the Glen: Winner -- Marcos Ambrose, of course. Not that Ambrose needed to remind anyone of his road course credentials, but Ambrose is all but unbeatable at the Glen, having won there three times in the NASCAR Nationwide...
