Found July 10, 2013 on Packers Talk Radio Network:
If the Packers offense is going to click, there is one player who needs to perform at a high level in 2013. That player is Jordy Nelson. Nelson burst on the national scene during Super Bowl XLV, with his 9 catch, 140 yard performance, a major reason the Packers emerged victorious. He followed that up with a career season in 2011. 68 receptions, 1,263 yards, and 15 touchdowns later, everyone in the NFL knew who this quiet superstar from Green Bay was. Unfortunately, Nelson was unable to repeat this level of success in 2012. Hampered by injuries that caused him to miss 4 games, Nelson’s stats plummeted to a respectable 49 receptions, 745 yards, and 7 touchdowns. Not bad, but a far cry from his 2011 performance. With former counterpart Greg Jennings now a member of the Vikings, Nelson enters 2013 as the de facto number one receiver in Green Bay. With this in mind, Jordy Nelson is the focus of this week’s Midweek Movie. Please enjoy some of the highlights of Nelson’s 2012 season.     --------------------- John Rehor is a writer at PackersTalk.com. He can also be heard as one of the Co-Hosts of Cheesehead Radio. Packers' TE Matthew Mulligan happy to do 'the dirty work'

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Matthew Mulligan understands his role. Now with his fifth NFL team after signing with the Green Bay Packers this offseason, the 28-year-old tight end doesn't expect to make highlight-reel catches or have many Lambeau Leap-type moments. Mulligan isn't bothered by a lack of recognition from casual football fans. He embraces it. As long as he's on the...

Aaron Rodgers tells TMZ reporter “at some point you’re going to get a real job” (Video)

TMZ was trying to catch up with Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers while he was out on the town.  Unfortunately for them he didn’t have much to say. The one thing Rodgers did say to the reporter is, ”at some point you’re going to get a real job.” While I respect and  believe TMZ does a pretty good job with reporting news, to have a guy go out and ask Aaron Rodgers what...

LB Clay Matthews ready to fill leadership void left by Charles Woodson: ‘I think it’s just the natural progression with leadership on this team’

Green Bay Packers took care of LB Clay Matthews in the 2013 offseason as he became the highest paid linebacker in NFL history when the Packers and he made a deal worth $66 million over the next five seasons. Matthews was drafted in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft, with the 26th overall pick by the Packers and he has come as advertised. However, with a ton of money comes...

5 Guys That Have to be Good: #3 – Bryan Bulaga

This is the third installment of my “Five Players That Have to be Good” for the Green Bay Packers. My third choice is left tackle Bryan Bulaga.   On May 3, 2013 the news made its way through Packers media outlets that Head Coach Mike McCarthy was going to make sweeping changes on the offensive line.  The unit that allowed MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers to be sacked a league...

'Love' of game by Lambeau, Herber recalled by grandchildren

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- It was an honor that very few grandchildren could ever experience. But with grandfathers like Green Bay Packers legends Curly Lambeau and Arnie Herber, accepting an award on their behalf was yet another reminder of their impact in the early days of the franchise. For John Lambeau, the 58-year-old grandson of Curly Lambeau, and Robin Miller, the granddaughter of...

2013 Fantasy Football Preview: Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are coming off of a 2012 season where they won the NFC North with an 11-5 record and beat their division rival Minnesota Vikings before losing to the 49ers in the conference semi-finals.The offseason saw Donald Driver retire, Charles Woodson get released and sign with the Oakland Raiders, Tom Crabtree go unsigned, and Greg Jennings go unsigned and land with...

Jeff Saturday is ESPN's 68th NFL analyst

In case you were worried ESPN was going to suffer from a shortage of NFL analysts this fall, have no fear!  Bristol has added yet another former player to their endless array of NFL analysts.  This time, it's former Colts center Jeff Saturday, who I'm guessing will step right into Matt Light's shoes (Light left ESPN quietly in the last year) as Generic Offensive Lineman...

Green Bay Packers: 6 Bold Predictions For 2013

Anyone can make “bold” predictions about a team. I could tell you that the Chiefs will have a major turnaround, get into the playoffs as a wild card, and pound their way through the AFC to the Super Bowl. I could predict that the new schemes in Cleveland will make Trent Richardson a 2500 yard back and allow Brandon Weeden to complete 70% of his passes. It’s easy to throw out...

Packers Training Camp Countdown: 15 Days

Every day until the start of camp on July 26, we’ll provide one juicy nugget to whet your appetite for the return of football. We’d give you more but the CBA forbids two-a-days. Sorry. Tramon Williams had a strong bounce-back season in 2012 and is second with 15 INTs over the past three seasons.
