Mike Vick Would Be Wise Not To Get Complacent.

Posted August 28, 2013
Even though the competition may be over, it doesn't mean the evaluations are. Here after Vick has been named the starter we began to see a few of Mike Vick's old bad habits resurface. The rushed bad throw that led to an interception, (that's two weeks straight now) the holding onto the ball too long, ( Mike rarely got the ball out after three seconds when he did he was decisive and accurate like on the Cooper TD, but when he didn't he was rushed, sacked, and threw a horrible interception) and he fumbled on play that thankfully Brown recovered. Say what you will, but this offense for whatever reason moves faster with Foles under center. It has every time he's been out on the field regardless of the talent he's been playing with or against. It has everything to do with the quarterback. A few of the sacks and hurries taken by Vick are strictly on him working too hard to make the big play rather than taking what the defense give him. Mike isn't being asked to do everything in this offense. He's being asked to play within it, so it will be on him if his old ways creep back in and he find himself sitting on the sidelines because of it.
