Mississippi State's women just knocked off Texas 71-63 in a first-round NCAA Tournament game in Columbus, Ohio.
The Lady Bulldogs, seeded 11th in their region, knocked off the sixth-seeded Longhorns behind 20 points and a perfect 13-of-13 from the free throw line from guard Alexis Rack. Chanel Mokango added 15 points. Tysheka Grimes and Armelie Lumanu each had 10 rebounds. State shot 40 percent from the field and missed just one of its 22 free throws.
Texas shot 30.9 percent from the field and was outrebounded 34-29 by Mississippi State.
State advances to a Monday night game against 3) Ohio State or 14) Sacred Heart at Nationwide Arena, OSU's home arena.
