mnartists.org plays kickball, celebrates art

SPECIAL EVENTMNArtists Field Day Everyone who's anyone in the local art scene has at some point probably created an mnartists.org page. The Walker Art Center-sponsored regional online artists' community boasts over 15,000 members and over 100,000 art images posted over the last five years. Impressive, eh? Well, today you're invited down to the Walker's Sculpture Garden for an all day art party celebrating the creative talent of YOU! This free event kicks off at 11 a.m. and includes a kid-friendly dance party with artist Sarah Jacobs; a noontime picnic with Electric Arc Radio's Geoff Herbach and Salon Saloon creator Andy Sturdevant, along with readings from mnLIT authors; field day lawn games such as kickball and badminton (with awesome artist made trophies as prizes); screen printing with Calpurnia Peach; a puppet show from Open Eye Figure Theater; and to top it all off, a special "experimental" set by electro-rockers Solid Gold in the Sky Pesher a...
