The Mountain West Conference and Conference USA have been left looking around for someone to play with, as the SEC, Pac 12, B1G and even the Big East bring in new teams to expand their conferences. Since neither have the cache to bring in additional teams without losing others, the conferences have decided it was time to just slap it all together and make one mega-conference.

The two non-AQ conferences have announced that they are working on putting out a 18-24 team league that will have two separate divisions and feature semi-final playoff game, as well as a conference championship game.

This will finally bring to fruition, the dream match-up of Southern Mississippi and Wyoming. WAC schools, such as Fresno State, Nevada and Hawaii were already set to join the MWC in 2013. The road trips from Honolulu to the mainland were already challenging enough, this just makes all kinds of sense now.
