Via The Last Angry Fan:
The Brazilian Campeonato Paulista match between Ponte Preta and Atletico Sorocaba this past Saturday was delayed for approximately 15 minutes after a sh*tload swarm of bees gathered on one of the goal crossbars of Moisés Lucarelli stadium in Campinas.
Officials from Ponte Preta tried burning the critters in a vain attempt to extinguish the horde, but to no avail. The city's fire department was called for some reason, before a couple of bee keepers were brought in to wrangle the pesky stinging machines. After successfully corralling the infestation the keepers sprayed the goalpost with a chemical of some sort that would presumably keep the original bees, and any of their bee cousins, from coming back and menacing the goalies during the game, won by Ponte Preta 2-1.
