From NESN:

Cardinals fans have a right to be excited about the postseason. And a few fans dedicated an awesome parody for their beloved team. It really seems like a lot of hard work went into this one.

In "Cardinals are Going, Going, Going to the World Series," (a "Video and lyrics by Katie, Cori, Ashley and Jill"), a group of Cards fans take Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" song and twist it into a World Series jam, as seen above.

  • Wow... let's see - after I got done cleaning the blood from inside of my ears, I really don't know what to say. I will just leave it at: please, please leave the singing duties to the professionals. I don't EVER, EVER, EVER want to hear that parody jingle again!
  • Didn't realize Simon Cowell was keeping track of enthusiastic Cardinal fans.
...point being, this was not meant as a proffessional gig. It's a very well done Cardinal tribute! Those who live in Cardinal Nation, regardless of mailing address, would know that.
Frankly, we thought it was pretty good, and the comments I heard as people were watching it were that "they aren't bad singers, either!"

Bobby V. out as BoSox manager

The Boston Red Sox announced Thursday that after a disappointing season, Bobby Valentine will not be returning as the team's skipper.

MLB Rumors: Expect To See Boston Red Sox Fire Bobby Valentine This Week

It is widely assumed that we should expect to see the Boston Red Sox fire Bobby Valentine as the team’s manager after one extremely disappointing season. The Red Sox just completed their second last-place finish in the last 80 years, which does not bode well for the outspoken manager who seemingly lost the faith and respect of his players months ago. Some never had any to begin...

That’s A Wrap On Bobby V In Boston

Junichi Tazawa deserves a spot in the Red Sox bullpen in 2013. Today the Red Sox fired manager Bobby Valentine.  That was a surprise to no one as the team has it’s worst season since 1966.  Valentine may have been brought in as just a flashy name and pose as damage control.  Well more drama happened this season than an episode of  Jersey Shore.  Between the players not liking...

Why the Red Sox Need to Offer David Ortiz a Multi-Year Deal

The regular season is over, but the simmering rubble within Fenway Park still burns. It's not quite a war zone, but not quite a baseball field. The park, with its many historic memories and famous inhabitants, has become the home of dysfunction, lack of direction, and indecisiveness. That smoke you see billowing from within its green walls is not the last remnants of bratwurst...

Your Afternoon Dump...Where the Sox have to get rid of the bad apples

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. David Ortiz isn’t naming names. But he is talking rotten apples. As the slugging DH looks back at the 2012 season, he wonders if the Red Sox [team stats] were doomed from the start, so broken and dysfunctional...

Larry Lucchino Accepts Responsibility for Nominating Bobby Valentine, Still Supports Embattled Former Skipper

BOSTON -- Yes, Larry Lucchino will shoulder a portion of the blame. During the managerial search last offseason, the Red Sox team president urged general manager Ben Cherington to interview Bobby Valentine for the managerial vacancy. On Thursday night, he admitted to nudging Cherington in that direction. But the final decision, Lucchino insisted, was universally agreed upon. "...

John Farrell, Tim Bogar Lead List of Potential Red Sox Managers While Terry Francona a Long Shot

Bobby Valentine has become the first Major League Baseball manager to be fired after the end of the 2012 regular season, making the rumor mill churn about whom the Red Sox will target to replace him. It's no secret that Boston wants to bring back former Sox pitching coach and current Blue Jays manager John Farrell. The Sox had targeted Farrell last season, too. He knows and has...

Ben Cherington Plans To Embrace 'Open Mind' With Managerial Search, Won't Strictly Stress Experience

BOSTON -- This time around, the managerial search will be drastically different. Not just in terms of time, considering the Red Sox didn't hire Bobby Valentine until December. Given the different circumstances around the team, general manager Ben Cherington and president Larry Lucchino won't solely harp on a candidate's experience. With a roster oozing with All-Stars...

Our long standing New England nightmare is over. Wait, you mean Bobby Valentine hasn't been fired as of 9:55 a.m.? Okay then. One of our long standing New England nightmares is over. Chris Antonetti Says “Just looking at Terry, he’s obviously had a lot of success,” What Does Antonetti Know About Success?

Chris Antonetti the man who played a very large role in the Cleveland Indians failed season number 2 in a row has talked about Terry Francona and all the success that he has had as if Antoneti himself knew what success was in major league baseball. John Farrell Among Several Candidates to Replace Bobby Valentine in Boston (Video)
