The San Antonio Spurs destroyed the Miami Heat in Game 3 to take a 2-1 lead on Tuesday night. After splitting the first two games of the series in Miami, Tim Duncan and company gained the upper hand with a 113-77 victory. As you would expect, Spurs fans were loving it.

The series is far from over, but a collection of fans were so excited that they decided to party in the streets as though their team had just won the whole damn thing. We’re talking car horns beeping and kids in diapers on top of a pickup truck.

With the way some of these Spurs fans were acting, you’d swear the team didn’t have two wins to go.

That being said, they had every right to be thrilled with the way some of their role players performed. If San Antonio can get contributions from guys like Danny Green and Gary Neal going forward, it will be incredibly difficult to beat. However, we know LeBron James isn’t going to lay down quietly. The Heat have been here many times before and still managed to come out on top. Game 4 will be a must-win for Miami.

Lady catches Tim Duncan diving into stands, freaks out

To be honest, most of us would probably freak out if an NBA player fell into our laps during a game and last night during game three of the 2013 NBA Finals, one lucky Spurs fan got the chance to catch Tim Duncan. Keep an eye on the blonde woman sitting in the lower level as Duncan dives into the stands to save a loose ball and her shocked look upon catching Tim: *** Tim Duncan...

Manu Ginobili's great Tim Duncan impression

Though super polite and professional, Tim Duncan doesn’t exactly have the most colorful of personalities. Duncan’s teammate Manu Ginobili joked about this fact with a spot-on impersonation of the Spurs big man when asked how Duncan would feel about a statue being erected in his honor once his playing days are over. Check out the funny clip above. [The Basketball Jones] Article...

David Robinson would love to see Duncan win title

David Robinson was 37 years old when he retired, his legacy as the greatest player in San Antonio Spurs history firmly intact. It's been 10 years since Robinson left the team in the hands of Tim Duncan and a couple of young guards named Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. Now it's Duncan's legacy that is being debated as the Spurs entered Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Thursday...

Udonis Haslem: Tim Duncan has no weaknesses

SAN ANTONIO - Miami Heat's Udonis Haslem has had to defend the likes of Roy Hibbert, and Joakim Noah during Miami's postseason run to the NBA Finals and now he finds himself guarding perhaps the greatest big man of this era in the NBA - San Antonio Spurs' Tim Duncan. Duncan has been having a solid postseason averaging 17.4 points, 1.7 blocks, 2.2 assists, 9.6 rebounds...

LeBron blocks Duncan after sweet Manu dish

In Game 4 of the NBA Finals Thursday night there was a sequence of basketball-deliciousness that needs to be seen to be believed. Stephen Douglas of The Big Lead referred to it as “basketball porn” and I really can’t argue with that assessment. Late in the third quarter, San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili drove into the lane and threw a behind-the-head pass to Tim Duncan...

Spurs grab lead after 1st quarter in NBA Finals

Tim Duncan had six points and two rebounds to help the San Antonio Spurs take a 24-20 lead over the Miami Heat after one quarter in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday night. Kawhi Leonard had five points and three rebounds and the Spurs shot 61 percent from the field in the first finals game in San Antonio since 2007. Dwyane Wade got off to another quick start for the Heat, scoring...

Heat at Spurs Game 3 Preview

SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili sat in mostly stunned silence, all that playoff experience not preparing them for how they felt after two games. They were satisfied, yet shaken. The San Antonio Spurs had taken home-court advantage away from the Miami Heat, but then the reigning champions took them apart. So as they prepared to bring the NBA Finals back...

Spurs Make it Rain on the Heat in Record Setting Blowout Win in Game 3 of the NBA Finals

The rain outside contributed to the crowd, Tim Duncan, and Tony Parker being late to the arena Tuesday night for Game 3 of the NBA Finals. That same rain appeared to inspire a couple of their teammates to make it rain inside the arena on the Heat. Danny Green and Gary Neal combined for 13 three-pointers to lead the Spurs over the Heat in a record setting blowout win, 113-77. ...

Spurs get hot from deep to take down Heat in Game 3

SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- From big 3s to Big Three, the Spurs had it all in the NBA Finals' raucous return to San Antonio. Danny Green made seven of the Spurs' finals-record 16 3-pointers, Tim Duncan had 12 points and 14 rebounds, and the Spurs clobbered the Miami Heat 113-77 on Tuesday night to take 2-1 lead in the series. Green scored 27 points and Gary Neal made six 3-pointers...

What went right, and other statistical nuggets

The San Antonio Spurs first possession wasn't anything groundbreaking. Tony Parker received a screen from Tim Duncan at the top of the arc and Miami trapped Parker aggressively. Duncan slipped into the lane and Parker fed him the pass. Chris Bosh, defending Tiago Splitter on the play, dropped down for a beat to help on Duncan. Udonis Haslem quickly scampered from the top...

Phenomenal GIF of Popovich and the 'Big 3'

So this is pretty awesome. The San Antonio Spurs "Big 3" of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili and coach Gregg Popovich have been one of the best quartets  in the NBA leading the team to three NBA titles, great regular seasons, and deep playoff runs. And after 11 seasons together, they find themselves once again in the thick of things, fighting for another...

Inside Look at Game 3 of the NBA Finals (Video)

This is the third installment of NBA Entertainment’s behind the scenes look at the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs, and three things jumped out at me. 1. Tim Duncan’s truly woeful wardrobe. 2. Ray Allen and Chris Bosh’s pre-game speech didn’t have the same impact as Dwyane Wade’s gem from Game 2. 3. Greg Popovich’s hilariously calm and sarcastic...

Spurs Strike Again, Extinguish Heat’s Flame

Greatness is easily overlooked when it’s quiet. We witnessed Ali because we heard him. We revered Jordan because he revered himself. And even in the hyperbaric chamber that is Bill Belichick’s Patriot headquarters, we understood dominance because the Boston media broke through the barriers and documented a dynasty. Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs silently defined an era of basketball...
