ESPN/Grantland columnist Bill Simmons
knows his basketball. If you honestly haven't even read The Book of Basketball
yet, I strongly suggest you go to the bookstore right now and pick up a copy.
According to Jason McIntyre of The Big Lead
, Simmons could be added to ESPN's NBA Countdown
show crew, as he'll likely replace ESPN the Magazine reporter Chris Broussard
McIntyre writes that Broussard will instead be placed into a different role, which will most likely be a "news" guy of some sorts.
It looks people are tired of Broussard and "his sources" and want a more fun character added to the crew. Simmons would fit perfectly and would give fans a better reason to watch it and stay tuned. He's being strongly considered, I say they do it.Photo Credit: Amy Sussman/Getty Images

He is known as an “insider” who is supposed to have sources that allow him to break news ahead of everyone else, which is why he...

Who's up for some 1970's NBA references, 1,000 words about his "Book on Basketball" and a lil podcast humor he heard earlier in the week before we watch Lebron James take on whatever opponent it is that Sunday? Think of it like the time Tony Kornheiser killed on Monday Night Football.
PS - Tony Reali to get the 14th Hole of the Masters in 2013?
Time to empty out the junk drawer before the weekend, starting with that charming tattoo that a Bama fan dropped $1,700 for over three sessions. Oh yeah, he went to Middle Tennessee State.
Grantland: A big college football week for Bill Simmons' snark factory this week. Chris Brown from Smart Football breaks down USC's "Sluggo Seam," Bryan Curtis gives some...
