Carmelo thriving as Knicks' go-to guy

NEW YORK Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony had a message Wednesday night for injured teammates Amar'e Stoudemire and Jeremy Lin. "Take all the time you need getting back, guys. I've got this." Of course, 'Melo didn't actually utter those words, but the way he put the sizzling hot Knicks on his back during their 108-86 rout of the Orlando Magic spoke volumes...

Clippers 97, Hornets 85

Chris Paul had 25 points and 10 assists against his former team, leading the Los Angeles Clippers to a 97-85 win over the New Orleans Hornets on Monday night. The Hornets first tried to trade Paul to the Lakers - a deal that was rejected by the league - before shipping the All-Star point guard to the Clippers shortly after the lockout ended. Kendrick Perkins dunks on Dwyane Wade and kicks him in the face (Video)

In Sunday night's NBA matchup between the Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder, Thunder center Kendrick Perkins dunked on Heat guard Dwyane Wade. While hanging from the rim, Perkins stuck his foot out and kicked Wade in the face, and there will be some debate as to whether Perkins kicked Wade by accident or did it on purpose. Carmelo Anthony says Mike Woodson holds players more accountable than Mike D’Antoni did

Like any other superstar, Carmelo Anthony gives off the impression that he doesn’t want to be told what to do. He wants to be “the guy” on whatever team he plays for, and it was obvious that he couldn’t be that guy when Mike D’Antoni was coaching the Knicks. D’Antoni’s offense — which is predicated on point guards running the show — never sat well with Carmelo....

Following a 101-79 win over Detroit on Saturday, Carmelo Anthony had to answer the question that many struggling superstars have to answer when they are, well, struggling. Yes, the team is winning and things seem to be trending upward, but why aren't you producing more? Anthony has been a focal point of criticism for the Knicks ever since the blockbuster trade last February...

UH-OH! Someone sounds a bit possessive!! “Chris Paul will be with me for a lifetime,” Sterling said. “And Blake will too. I’m not going to ever let these guys go. A ********** First, A Father Second

Will never stop being hilarious. I know that I promised to talk about the upcoming baseball season for the rest of this week, but I just can’t hide this exclusive story. We haven’t talked about the NBA here for awhile now although the tank race to the end of the season is heating up. Did I say “heating up”? I did. That leads me to today’s “scoop”. You may remember...

Do the Knicks Have the Personnel to Contend?

I didn't ask if the Knicks have the health, chemistry, coaching, or heart/guts/moxie to contend. Those are very difficult things to predict when it comes to basketball. One, or a few, of those things will be what may very well causes the Knicks to prevail or falter down the stretch of the season and in the NBA playoffs*.    *Knicks still need to make playoffs, as they'...
